Rose is praying for God's plan and purpose in the leadership of  Mercy  Ministries Foundation.  Each of the homes on this page will have periodic updates with their specific prayer requests.  Your prayers are the most important support one can give to MMF. We thank you for your time to pray with us as our Lord may lead you. We also thank God for the local nationals and westerners who come along side MMF in various times and places of need.

Chiangrai Home

• Pray that the Lord would provide volunteers with a heart to teach English to our staff and kids. We are currently in the beginning stages of wanting to set-up formal English and computer classes for the children and staff. If anyone is interested they can write us at contactus@mmfthailand.org

• Pray for growth in leadership. We are praying about possibilities for the future in the area of leadership training and for people to come alongside of us to help in this.

Chiangsaen Home

• We thank God for all of our 33 children including our 6 new children. We are now praying about a young boy, just 4 years old whose parents have died and is presently with his elderly grandfather.

• This year we have a new staff member who is doing her internship with us and is attending Bible School in the nearby border town of Maesai. We are thankful also for the same Bible School providing us with two other students who will be at CHH Chiangsaen on the weekends.

• We ask you to join us in prayer for the following: Pray that God will settle the hearts of our six new children and that they would know Jesus at an early age.

• Pray for our staff members that they will grow daily with the Lord who will enable them to love and encourage the children. We pray that we would never be so busy with our work that we do not have time with our Lord Jesus..that is the most important thing to us all.

Chiangsaen Babies Home

• Pray for continued growth in each of the children's lives that as they grow, they would know the love of our Lord Jesus Christ

  Continued strength for the staff who look after these little ones that they would know the Love of their Father in order to give to the children

• That the Lord would guide and lead us in making decisions about the present children we have and also the ones whom the Lord has pre-chosen to come to be at our home

• That the children would know the value of things given to them and that they would grow to be an example to one another

• That the children would grow in leadership in order to serve God in the future

• Pray that the staff continues to grow and be good examples for the children in everything they do and say

Phang Nga Home

• Thank the Lord for the 6 children we have and pray that they grow up to be strong and healthy

• Pray for the new facilities and thank the Lord we were provided with the funds to build this beautiful home

• Pray for continued encouragement and strength for the leadership that have gone through an intense building phase. Pray for refreshment for each one of them

• Pray that the Lord brings staff who can come alongside the leadership to assist in taking care of the children

Poipet Home
This home is in a tough part of the world. The local Cambodian villagers have suffered for many years in poverty and persecution. God is moving here in a powerful way. We thank God for opening this door in an area of South East Asia that has been extremely dangerous for children. 

• The young women who are trapped in lives of prostitution.  They have absolutely no hope in their lives and they aren't even aware of the hold that this lifestyle has on their lives.  Even if they did have an idea, they would be powerless to change.  Please pray for these young girls and that God would begin a work in this area.  Who will share and bring Gods message of hope to these young girls?

• Young boys growing up in the pool halls learning to gamble at a very young age and the environment just leads to more and more debauchery in their lives.  Who is reaching these young boys?

• The men and women in the prison system.  They are of course forgotten and trapped by endless violence, drug abuse, alcohol abuse and other abuses.  People take them things they need but who is bringing them the pure word of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Only the gospel can change their lives not the other things they receive.

• The cart pushers at the border who work such back breaking work for little money in the heat and the rain. How do we reach these men and women?

• Along the same lines are the children begging along the border.  These children, some of them, have families but the families send their children to the border so they don't have to work.  Some of the children have to get to the border before it opens at 7:00 AM and can't return home until late at night.    

• The poor in the Kabal Spean.  The poor just seem to keep getting more and more poor and their lives seem to just get worse and worse.  Even when it appears that they might be getting ahead they fall back due to no fault of their own.  Please pray for these poor who are constantly bombarded by the sins of all people due to abuse, neglect, or stigmas.  Not to mention their own sins which they are trapped in.  The gospel needs to get out boldly.
