Mercy Ministries Foundation Leadership
There are several new events to cover across MMF so far this year. The most noteworthy is the recent grand opening of the Poiet, Cambodia homes and the Phang Nga, Thailand homes.Thank you for your thoughts and especially your prayers as these two new facilities start to develop staff to care for the additional children that will be living there.
----------------------------------------------------
Chiangrai Home
The original Chiangrai location remains the center for MMF activities. Rose Martinez is currently the resident leader of the Chiangrai Homes. This is where it all began and now Rose is back locally to lead the homes herself again for a season. This facility is the largest of the MMF facilities.
----------------------------------------------------
Chiangsaen Home
The Chiangsaen Home is similar to the other Chiangrai province homes of northern Thailand. The 35+ children are from several of the surrounding hilltribes and local Thai famiies. The home is run by two of the first generation MMF orphans Rose raised from the local area.

Chiangsaen Babies Home
The Chiangsaen Babies Home is always a joy with our home dedicated to children typically under three years old. There are 9 children receiving excellant love and care from the highly dedicated MMF staff.
Chiangrai Discipleship Home
The Chiangrai Discipleship Home has completed a season with the graduation of the discipleship class and they headed off to the next part of their lives as young Christian adults in various walks in Thailand. This ministry operates as children attain the ages of young adulthood.

Theong Home
The Theong Home is the latest of the Chiangrai province homes and offers a similar environment to the other Chiangrai province homes. The 25+ children living there are primarily from the Hmong hilltribe. The home is run by two of the first generation MMF orphans Rose raised from the Hmong hilltribe themselves.
----------------------------------------------------
Phang Nga Home
The first new home to open in Southern Thailand under MMF is in Phang Nga Province, Thailand. The Phang, Nga & Phuket coastal areas were Thailand's hardest hit areas from the Dec, 26th 2004 tsunami. The fishing villages along the sea level coast suffered losses as high as 50%. MMF homes were rented in Phang Nga village to establish a Children's Crisis Home for the expected orphaned children in the area. Now after the purchase of some land in the Phang Nga province, we have new permanent homes constructed The Khok Kloi facilities have officially opened and have children already being cared for at the new facility under the care of MMF staff.

Poipet Home
Poipet, Cambodia is a border town with Thailand that is the location for the new outreach. God put the highly 'at risk children' of Poipet on Rose's heart a few years ago. It has taken longer to establish the Cambodian MMF home due to the time for building government rapport, difficult local infrastructure, and the deprived culture of the Cambodian people. The long awaited home in Poipet, Cambodia has officially opened with the completion of five new building & facilities. This new complex has land for growing some food and even some fishing in the pond within the property. Working along side the local Cambodians have been many Christian staff and volunteers dedicating months to years in the establishment of this new MMF Poipet home. It is amazing to see how God has moved in this area. There are over 25 children being cared for by the MMF staff. Additionally, the downtown slum preschool of Poipet, established first in 2004, continues a beacon of hope for the extremely poor children of the Poipet slums.
