The older kids, “the teenagers”, like in every culture, require a special approach in trying to meet and lead them spiritually. This is how we have come to this stage of the ministry with the older kids and is the heart of what we have nicknamed “The Rock”- our Discipleship Homes.
As the children have grown, and through years of seeing our young adults go through our home, we have seen the need to better prepare them for “leaving the nest”. We endeavor not only to prepare them socially, emotionally or even physically, but spiritually also. Our objective is to give them a firm and deeper foundation in the Word of God so that they will be able to stand as young adults when they experience temptation with friends and all that is encountered in the world. |
