With so many children in our care and so many ages, we feel challenged to be able to reach each age group where they are. The older kids, “the teenagers”, like in every culture, require a special approach in trying to meet and lead them spiritually. This is how we have come to this stage of the ministry with the older kids and is the heart of what we have nicknamed “The Rock”- our Discipleship Homes.

With the discipleship homes, we hope to be able to create an atmosphere that will help the kids become more responsible and spiritualy mature.

As the children have grown, and through years of seeing our young adults go through our home, we have seen the need to better prepare them for “leaving the nest”. We endeavor not only to prepare them socially, emotionally or even physically, but spiritually also. Our objective is to give them a firm and deeper foundation in the Word of God so that they will be able to stand as a young adults when they experience temptation with friends and all that is encountered in the world.

Put simply, these are our two major goals-

1. To take the kids to a deeper level in their walk with the Lord. We aim to do this through more personal discipleship, training, and teaching of the Word of God.

2. To create an atmosphere that will teach the kids to be responsible so they will be capable of having their own home in the future. It is our goal to do this by giving them more freedom, choice and responsibility in the decision making and running of the home.

We believe that ultimately all this will raise up strong Christian leadership for the kingdom of God and the furtherance of the Gospel…… All for the Glory of God and to bring people into His Kingdom!
